Past successes
[1] include mobilizing more than 18,000 people to sign a petition in support of the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act, anti-trafficking legislation that was passed into law; winning the reconsideration of denial of asylum for a young Albanian trafficking survivor; urging media coverage of key issues including Iraqi women’s rights, women and the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort and Darfur; and letter-writing campaigns to public officials and top news channels and publications.

Who Funded Our Online Actions?

Three foundations have supported the online actions of Women's Funding Network.

  • The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation [2]
  • Open Society Institute [3]
  • Rockefeller Brothers Fund [4]

A fourth funding partner of Women’s Funding Network, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation [5], funded a significant component of our interactive internet communications that built the community for our online activism.
