UNIFEM [1], the women's fund at the United Nations, has partnered with Women's Funding Network to bring attention to the importance women have in combating poverty worldwide. Past activities include an online petition for World Poverty Day 2007 [2] (October 17) in collaboration with the United Nations' Stand Up campaign that succeeded in encouraging more than 43 million to stand up and speak out against poverty and gender inequality worldwide.
Good Deed Foundation [3] is collaborating with the Women's Funding Network on consumer actions that emphasize the power of simple, small acts to end poverty. Good Deed Foundation provides simple consumer actions that generate funds to combat women's poverty in the U.S. and worldwide. Through an agreement with the Women's Funding Network Foundation, a portion of Good Deed proceeds go to women's funds for work to combat poverty. An additional portion of proceeds go to organizations providing solutions to climate change.
SheSource [4] is a partnership between The White House Project [5], Fenton Communications [6] and Women's Funding Network that aims to increase the visibility of women in the news media. Media professionals are sent daily bulletins that pair top news items with vetted women experts who are experienced at speaking and working on specific topics. Women's Funding Network's fiscal support for the SheSource program ended in 2008 but commends this important program for its continued contributions to the public arena.
The International Network of Women's Funds [7] (INWF) and the Women's Funding Network collaborate to broaden the understanding of philanthropy in the wider world. The INWF is a partnership of 17 women's funds in the Northern and Southern hemisphere -- all of them members of the Women's Funding Network -- that focus on expanding the resources of women's organizations around the world and increasing philanthropy worldwide. The INWF expands the Women's Funding Network by offering a global perspective on women's organizations and philanthropy.
