Women's Funding Network has partnered with the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) to urge the leaders of the world's wealthiest nations -- the Group of 8 -- to make good on promises to end global poverty and inequality when they meet in Japan in July.
Women play a primary role in all communities as food producers, heads of households, caregivers, and workers. Join us in calling on world leaders to make good on their promises to invest in women and communities most affected by poverty
Every July, the people of Japan celebrate Tanabata by making their wishes for the coming year, and tying them to a bamboo tree. This year, make your wish for immediate action from the G8 on education, health and HIV/AIDS, climate change and international aid -- all of which can improve the lives of millions of women around the world.
Your wish, along with millions of others will be handed to the Japanese Prime Minister on July 6, the day before the meetings begin.
